You Travel by Plane to Frankfurt Airport

Frankfurt Airport is about 200 km away from Tübingen. Within Frankfurt Airport you will find a train station for long distance trains. From there, Inter-City-Express-trains (ICE) are directly connected to the main railway station of Stuttgart every two hours and Euro-City-trains (EC) about every hour. In the case of Euro-City-trains, you have to change trains in Mannheim. It will take you about 1 hour to get from Frankfurt Airport to the main railway station of Stuttgart. You May Continue From the Airport by Bus

Stuttgart Airport is about 40 km away from Tübingen. A shuttle-bus named "Airport-Sprinter", Line 828, runs between the airport and the central bus station of Tübingen. The bus stop is located on the ground-floor of the airport building. The bus runs from Monday through Friday every hour from 7:36 to 19:36 and every second hour from 7:21 to 21:21 on Saturdays. It will take you about 1 hour to reach the central bus station of Tübingen. The central bus station of Tübingen is located in front of the main railway station of Tübingen. From the central bus station of Tübingen you might take a taxi or walk to your hotel.

For your way back to Stuttgart Airport, the "Airport-Sprinter" leaves the central bus station of Tübingen on Track L from Monday through Friday every hour from 5:31 to 18:31 and every second hour from 6:17 to 18:17 on Saturdays.


You May Continue From the Airport by Train

The airport is connected to the main railway station of Stuttgart by the "S-Bahn", Line S2 and S3. You will find the S-Bahn-stops on the ground-floor of the airport building. Trains are operating between 5:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. every 10 and 20 minutes, respectively. It will take you about 30 minutes to get to the main railway station of Stuttgart. You Travel by Train

The main railway station of Stuttgart is about 50 km away from Tübingen. From the main railway station of Stuttgart, regional trains to Tübingen leave daily every hour from 6:18 to 0:45 via Esslingen, Plochingen and Nürtingen. It will take you 40 to 60 minutes to reach the main railway station of Tübingen. Detailled time tables can be received from the German Railway Information System. From the main railway station of Tübingen you might take a taxi or walk to your hotel. Taxi-stops are located directly in front of the main railway station.
