Dr. Julia Bahnmüller

Mitglied der Nachwuchsgruppe Neuro-kognitive Plastizität

Seit Januar 2014 ist Julia Bahnmüller wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Nachwuchsgruppe Neuro-kognitive Plastizität am IWM. Sie beschäftigt sich mit den behavioralen und neuronalen Grundlagen der Zahlenverarbeitung sowie der Entwicklung numerischer Kompetenzen. Im Rahmen ihrer Promotion beschäftigt sich Julia Bahnmüller mit sprachlichen Einflussfaktoren auf die Verarbeitung mehrstelliger Zahlen. Beispielsweise untersucht sie hierbei in kulturvergleichenden Studien, welchen Einfluss die Inversion der Zahlwörter im Deutschen (42 = zweiundvierzig und nicht vierzigzwei) auf die Entwicklung des Stellenwertsystems hat.


Julia Bahnmüller studierte Psychologie (Diplom, 2012) an der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen und der University of York (UK). Von Herbst 2012 bis Ende 2013 arbeitete sie als wissenschaftliche Angestellte am Psychologischen Institut der Universität Tübingen (Abteilung Diagnostik und kognitive Neuropsychologie).
