Dr. Stefan Huber

Mitglied der Nachwuchsgruppe Neuro-kognitive Plastizität

Stefan Huber ist seit März 2010 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am IWM. Seit Januar 2014 arbeitet er im Projekt „Neurofunctional foundations and neurocognitively supported learning of arithmetic processes” in der Nachwuchsgruppe Neuro-kognitive Plastizität (Leitung: Prof. Dr. Korbinian Möller). Ziel des Projekts ist es, die neurofunktionellen und neurostrukturellen Grundlagen numerischen Lernens zu untersuchen. Zuvor arbeitete er im Projekt „Implementation, neurokognitive Online Adaptation und Evaluation einer sozial-interaktiven web-basierten Lernplattform für Arithmetik“ im Rahmen des Leibniz-WissenschaftsCampus Tübingen. Ziel des Projekts ist die Implementierung und adaptive Ausgestaltung einer Internetplattform, die alltagsnahes Rechnen schulisch und außerschulisch unterstützen kann. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen die numerische Kognition und kognitive Kontrolle. Diese Forschungsthemen untersucht er mit Hilfe von behavioralen Studien, Eye-Tracking, computergestützter Modellierung (künstliche neuronale Netze) und fMRT-Studien.


Stefan Huber studierte Psychologie (Mag. rer. nat., 2009) und Angewandte Informatik (B.Eng., 2013) an der Paris-Lodron Universität Salzburg. Von März 2010 bis September 2014 war er Doktorand am IWM. In seiner Promotion beschäftigte er sich mit der Simulation der Größenverarbeitung von Zahlen mithilfe von künstlichen neuronalen Netzen (Titel: „Towards a Common Model Framework for Number Comparison“). Seit Oktober 2015 studiert er Data Science (berufsbegleitender Masterstudiengang) an der Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen und der Universität Mannheim.
