Prof. Dr. Susana Ruiz Fernández

Mitglied der Arbeitsgruppe Multimodale Interaktion

Susana Ruiz Fernández ist seit Oktober 2011 in der Arbeitsgruppe Multimodale Interaktion am IWM tätig. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind die Untersuchung körperlicher und emotionaler Einflüsse (z. B. Gesten, Hand-Nähe) auf die kognitive und emotionale Verarbeitung von Information sowie die Untersuchung der Einflüsse von Zeit- und Wertetypen auf die Einstellungen. Diese Themen beforscht sie unter anderem in den Projekten „Der Einfluss des Near-Hand-Effekts auf kognitive und emotionale Verarbeitungsprozesse bei der Nutzung von Multi-Touch-Oberflächen“, „Multimodale Interaktion in Virtueller Realität“,  „Digitale Selbstportraits zeichnen im Kunstmuseum: Welche rezeptiven und produktiven Prozesse vermitteln soziale Transfereffekte auf Empathie und Selbstwahrnehmung von Jugendlichen?“ und „Der Obersalzberg aus Besuchersicht: Kognitive Wirkung eines historischen Ortes und seiner propagandistischen Inszenierung in der NS-Zeit“. Von 2016 bis 2019 war Susana Ruiz Fernández Mitglied im von der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft geförderten Postdoc-Netzwerk „Kognitive Konflikte bei der Mediennutzung“.


Susana Ruiz Fernández studierte Psychologie an der Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen. Sie war wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Doktorandin in der Abteilung für Kognition und Wahrnehmung des Psychologischen Instituts der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen und promovierte in Psychologie zum Thema der menschlichen Informationsverarbeitung. Susana Ruiz Fernández wurde 2018 zur Professorin an der FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management berufen. Ihre dortigen Lehrschwerpunkte sind Methoden und Statistik sowie Sozialpsychologie.
