Jun.-Prof. Dr. Lysann Damisch

Since November 2010 Lysann Damisch has held a Junior-Professorship at the Knowledge Media Research Center. She completed her studies of psychology at the Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg in April 2004. Between 2005 and 2010 she worked at the University of Cologne as a member of the "Social Cognition Cologne" lab (Prof. Thomas Mussweiler). There, she examined the consequences and mechanisms of social comparison processes and their role in social judgment and decision making. In July 2008 she finished her PhD on the performance improving influence of activated superstitions at the University of Cologne. Subsequently, she continued her research at the University of Cologne as an assistant professor.
