Since July 2015, Bettina Renner has been a scientific assistant at the IWM and since May 2017 personal assistant to the director. She started working at the institute in 2013, initially as a postdoc researcher in several projects (Mirror - Reflective Learning at Work, Ubiquitous Working). Her main research interests are new types of learning and working with digital media with a focus on informal learning and workplace learning. In her current role at the IWM she is responsible for general institutional tasks and provides strategic and coordinative support to the director.

In 2010, Bettina Renner graduated from the University of Tübingen with a diploma in psychology. During her studies, she focused mainly on educational and media psychology. From 2010 to 2012, she worked as a Ph.D. student at the Customer Research Center at Daimler AG. In her thesis at the Humboldt University of Berlin, from which she graduated in 2013, she compared online and offline focus groups in the context of customer requirements.
