Member of Language and AI in Education lab
Since January 2025, Leona Colling has been a research assistant and doctoral student at the IWM in the Language and AI in Education lab led by Prof. Dr. Detmar Meurers. She works on the intelligent tutoring system “FeedBook” in the “AI2Teach” project. In the “AI2Teach” project, she investigates the use of learning analytics and computational linguistic methods to develop user-centered and theory-informed learner and teacher dashboards and their effects on learning and teaching behavior as well as learning outcomes.
Leona Colling studied Cognitive Science at the University of Tübingen (B.Sc.) and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh (M.Sc.). She then worked at IBM in the field of AI & Data Science before becoming a research assistant in computational linguistics at the University of Tübingen where she started her doctoral studies, which she is now continuing at the IWM.
