Matthias Riekert, M.Sc.

Member of the junior research group Social Media

Since May 2016, Matthias Riekert has been a research assistant and PhD student at the Junior Research Group Social Media. He works on the Eurostars-project 'Dr. Tide: Digital Research Tailored Information Detector'. In this project, he develops a business intelligence tool together with two companies. The business intelligence tool will contain a function for self-service visualizations. Important research questions within the project are how large amounts of textual data and economical relevant numbers should be visualized. In his PhD project he investigates risk perception and risky decisions with visualizations.

He studied cognitive science (B.Sc., 2013; M.Sc., 2016) at the University of Tübingen with a focus on cognitive psychology and completed his master degree with honors. From 2014 to 2016 he was a student assistant in the Knowledge Construction lab of the IWM.
