Navigation options

The basic page layout separates content and navigation and is uniform across the page for easy orientation.

You have two options for navigation:
In the desktop version of the website, the main navigation is located at the top of the page, providing access to all main content areas of the website. On the respective subpages there are further navigation levels in the head of the page as well as in the right margin column, which allow access to further navigation levels. In the mobile version, the navigation is located at the top left margin.

Another way to find a topic is the search mask in which you can enter free text. Further information can be found under "Search".

You find further information about the press department as well as on how to contact us in the upper right area of the website.

Information on our legal notice, accessibility, bid invitations, study participants, social media and data protection can be found below in the footer of the website.

The videos on our website are hosted in particular on the external platform YouTube. Due to country-specific copyright laws or internal network policies, these platforms or certain videos may be blocked in individual cases and thus the videos may not be retrievable.

On each page you have the opportunity to search for terms in the upper right area. Enter the search terms in the search mask and press Enter or click on the magnifying glass symbol. In the result view, all hits are displayed. You can then filter the search results by relevance or date to refine your search.

Your search is supported by an "auto-complete" function that checks for similar keywords as you type and generates suggestions.

Reader view

The articles have been optimized for a more readable reader view. This mode is currently supported by Firefox and Safari and can be activated by clicking on the icon next to the URL.

Print function

Open the print dialog via the browser menu "File" and the sub-item "Print".
Another option is the key combination "CTRL" and "P", which also opens the print dialog. On MacOS, this works with "CMD" and "P".

Speech output

You have the opportunity to have all the texts read on the IWM web pages through the speech output of your browser. Activate this function in the settings of your respective browser.
