Angelica Lermann Henestrosa

Since July 2020 Angelica Lermann Henestrosa has started working as a researcher and PhD student in the Knowledge Construction Lab at the IWM. She is part of the research network "Human-Agent-Interaction", which is dedicated to the topic "Human Performance and Acceptance in Interaction with Intelligent, Speech-based Software Agents". In her research she specifically deals with the perception and evaluation of intelligent language assistants for science communication. The project aims to investigate how different textual representations of automated content affect the acceptance and reception of scientific information.
Angelica Lermann Henestrosa began her studies of psychology at the Distance University of Hagen and completed them (M.Sc. 2020) at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen with a focus on knowledge, communication and media psychology as well as clinical psychology. In her master's thesis she dealt with the influence of perceived group membership in collaborative writing. During her studies, she was a research assistant at the Institute of Medical Psychology from 2014 to 2015, where, among other things, she helped to carry out EEG studies in the sleep laboratory.
