Dr. Johanna Rahn

Member of the Knowledge Exchange Lab

Johanna Rahn joined the IWM as a Postdoc in the Knowledge exchange Lab in March 2017. She coordinates the BMBF project "Ideas to Market" in which results from basic research get transferred into practice. Therefore, her research focuses on how communication processes can be digitally supported to facilitate the development of application-related ideas in groups. As a tool, the researchers in the project use a multi touch table on which several individuals can manipulate information all at the same time.

In 2016, Johanna Rahn finished her dissertation with the topic of "Dynamic Mindset Effects in Economic Risk Taking" at the chair of social and economic psychology at Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen. Until 2017, she worked at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, researching the impact of digital networks on workers and processes in manufacturing firms and online communication.
