Member of the Multiple Representations Lab
In August 2020, Katharina Fleig started working as a research associate and PhD student at the IWM in the Multiple Representations lab. Within the research network Human-Agent Interaction, she works on the project "The Effects of AI-supported Feedback in the Context of Adaptive Learning Systems". There she investigates how the automatic diagnosis of learning as well as the adaptive reactions of the system based on it affect its acceptance. Her focus is on the question of how language-based software agents influence cognitive and metacognitive learning processes and learning performance. Since September 2020, she is an associated PhD student of the LEAD (Learning, Educational Achievement, and Life Course Development) Graduate School & Research Network at the University of Tübingen.
Katharina Fleig first studied linguistics (Bachelor of Arts 2015) at the University of Konstanz, where she taught as a tutor and received the Deutschlandstipendium. During her master's degree in Speech and Language Processing, she worked as a student advisor and was involved in various committees as a student representative. After her parental leave, she completed the program with the grade "excellent" (Master of Arts 2019).
