Member of the Multimodal Interaction Lab
Romy Brömme has been working as a research scientist and PhD student at the IWM in the Multimodal Interaction lab of Prof. Dr. Gerjets since March 2014. Her research is focused on the design of (mobile) multi-touch input devices that are beneficial to the learning process. In her research projects she concentrates on the influence of near hand stimulus presentation on cognitive information processing and the influence of alternative text presentation methods, e.g. the rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) method, on text comprehension.
Romy Brömme studied psychology (M.Sc. 2014) at the University of Cologne and Giessen and focused on Cognitive Psychology, Neuropsychology and Media and Communication Psychology. During her studies she worked as an investigator at the Max Planck Institute for Neurological Research, as a tutor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Giessen and as a research project assistant in the field of health and social research. Her master thesis focused on the age-differentiated visualization of network diagrams in computer-aided project management.
