Project description
The aim of the proposed project was to define the requirements for possible interfaces of the information and qualification portal e-teaching.org to a planned National Education Platform (NBP) and to develop and prototype exemplary test cases. This should enable users to access the portal's extensive resources on didactic, technical and organisational aspects of the use of digital media in higher education, which have been developed since 2003, via the NBP in a problem-based manner.
The proof of concept to be submitted should have a testable technical connection to the platform prototype "BIRD" on the topics of identity management, storage of learning statuses, catalogue functions and metadata processing, among others. In addition, a concept should be created that describes how the extensive multimedia learning materials from e-teaching.org on teaching and learning with digital media can be made accessible to teachers, multipliers and learners in a problem-oriented manner.
In addition to the successful technical connection to the prototype, where a functioning SingleSignOn as well as a functioning Data Wallet and Media Data Connector with a demonstrator based on Plone and Python could be shown, suitable tagging measures were derived conceptually. In addition, a reference system for the content identified as relevant was tested with regard to the indexing of this content by the NBP. On this basis, an approach for a problem-oriented access to the NBP could be developed and various further measures for a successful connection to the NBP could be defined.
