Over 150 people work at the IWM in the areas of research, media technology, administration and service.
Our research investigates how people - individually and collectively - use digital knowledge media. We bring scientific findings into practice and society, for example in education and training. Like the research itself, the academic staff is international and interdisciplinary. In addition to psychologists, scientists from other disciplines such as educational science, communication science, cognitive science and computer science conduct research at the IWM. Together, we work on projects that require very different perspectives.
We are supported by many student and research assistants, as well as by external people, e.g. as test subjects in studies. They all contribute to making new findings possible.
