Member of the Perception and Action Lab
Since February 2021, Andreea Potinteu has been working as a research associate and PhD student in the Perception and Action lab at the IWM. As a lab member she is working on the “Psychological determinants of risk perception about artificial intelligence” project. She is also working on her doctoral thesis, where she focuses on exploring the boundary conditions under which people show prosocial behavior towards artificial agents. Her PhD position is split between the IWM and the University of Tübingen, where she works in the Applied Cognitive Psychology department.
Andreea Potinteu studied Psychology (B.A), with a focus on cognitive psychology, at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. During her studies she has done a practical internship in the area of play therapy at the Institute of Oncology “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuţă” (Romania). She then completed her Master’s degree 2020 in Cognitive Science at the Ruhr-University Bochum.
