Member of the Multiple Representations Lab
Emely Hoch has been working as a research associate at the IWM in the Multiple Representations lab since November 2014. Since 2020, her activities have also included the scientific coordination of the Tübingen Digital Teaching Lab (TüDiLab). Her research focuses on learning processes in digital learning environments as well as metacognitive processes in learning and problem solving. Emely Hoch is an associated member of the Excellence Graduate School and Research Network LEAD (Learning, Educational Achievement, and Life Course Development) and the Tübingen Center for Digital Education at the University of Tübingen.
Emely Hoch studied Psychology at the University of Tübingen (M.Sc. 2014). During her studies, she had already worked as a student assistant at the IWM. She completed her dissertation at the IWM in December 2018. In it, she investigated if-then plans as support for self-regulation in multimedia learning. From 2018 to 2022, Emely Hoch coordinated the " tabletBW trifft Wissenschaft " research project funded by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Baden-Württemberg in cooperation with the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology.
