Member of Perception and Action lab
Gerrit Anders has been a scientific researcher and doctoral student in the research group Perception and Action since January 1, 2023. His research interests include the examination of event-segmentation, mind wandering, and emotional narration in videos. He is also interested in metacognition, the interaction of people with artificial intelligence systems, and the application of machine learning methodology in psychology. As part of his doctorate, Gerrit seeks to understand how the structure of videos influences video perception and what mechanisms are responsible for successful video perception.
Gerrit Anders studied physics for his bachelor's degree at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg (B.Sc., 2016), where he also obtained his master's degree in physics (M.Sc., 2021). Alongside this study, he also completed a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg (B.Sc.).
