Portrait of Jessica Kathmann

Jessica Kathmann is a psychologist (M.Sc.) and has been a PhD candidate in the Multimodal Interaction Lab on curiosity processes in learning with digital games in the project “Kafka or Not?” since 2024. To this end, she is designing a multi-touch table game for German lessons at upper secondary level. Ultimately, the game should be playable by collaborating with others and should be able to incorporate content from other subjects in the future.

Previously, she worked on the BMBF meta project "Digitalisation in The Fields of Education" (Digi-EBF) on the digital skills of prospective teachers. She also supported the expansion of the e-teaching.org portal. At times, she was also involved in the Institute's public relations work and managed the Institute's social media channels.
