Scientist
Maren Gebhardt joined the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien in May 2023 as a research associate in the section of Research and Transfer on the Use of Digital Media in Teaching. She supports the BMBF-funded Kompetenzverbund lernen:digital in its transfer office in the area of science communication. The Kompetenzverbund lernen:digital is committed to the digital transformation in schools and teacher training. The network's web platform contributes to the dialog between science and practice with various formats. Maren Gebhardt is helping to design the Zukunftsraum (Future Space) of this platform. The goal of the Zukunftsraum is to develop presentation formats for pioneers and innovative national and international research projects, to draw visions for digitally supported teaching, and thus to arouse interest in the digital potential in education.
Maren Gebhardt studied German literature and classical philology at the University of Tübingen (1st state examination) and art education at the Bauhaus University Weimar (extension of the 1st state examination). She taught at schools (Referendariat/teacher training) and universities. In communication agencies, she conceptually designed extracurricular learning venues as well as instructional media and specialized in the target group of teachers and educational stakeholders.
