Dr. Manuela Glaser

Since January 2007, Manuela Glaser has been a researcher in the Realistic Depictions lab at the IWM. Her research foci include learning with historical reconstructions and informal learning in museums. In her current projects, she is investigating factors influencing the learning of uncertain information in archaeological reconstructions as well as cognitive processes when visiting VR applications for the museum sector using eye-tracking and, in particular, the effects of spatial sound on experience and learning.

Main research topics:

  • Learning with historical reconstructions
  • Informal learning in the museum
