Member of the Multimodal Interaction Lab and of the technical staff
Since December 2015, Marc Halfmann has been working at the IWM. His main tasks focus on the development of multi-user interfaces for multi touch monitors. As a part of the research project "Personalizing Oncology via Semantic Integration of Data (PersOnS)" he is currently developing a touch-based user interface for an interdisciplinary tumor board. He is also involved in the development of applications and content for virtual and mixed reality devices.
In 2010, Marc Halfmann graduated from the University of Tübingen with a diploma in bioinformatics. During his studies, he focused on neurobiology. From 2011 to 2015, he worked as a PhD student at the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at the Department of Biology. In his thesis at the University of Tübingen, he studied Place Recognition and Navigation in Virtual Environments. In July 2016 he finished his PhD.
