Sarah Brender has been working at the IWM since September 2023 in the Press and Public Relations department with a focus on online communications. Her tasks include the further development and maintenance of the IWM's social media channels and website.

Prior to joining the IWM, she completed her master's degree (Economic and Social History, Modern and Contemporary History and Gender Studies) before training as an online editor at the mibeg-Institut Medien in Cologne. She then worked in an online agency in Bergisch Gladbach and subsequently as an online editor at the universities of Cologne and Freiburg.
