Sonja Utz has headed the Everyday Media lab since March 2022. From April 2013 to March 2022, she headed the Junior Research Group Social Media at the IWM. She has been Professor of Communication via Social Media at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen since April 2014. Together with her team, she investigates (incidental) knowledge processes in communication between people on social media as well as in the interaction of people with communicative AI.
