Head of the software development group
Uwe Oestermeier heads the software development group at the IWM. His group designs and implements software for experiments and prototypes for applied research. The favorite programming languages are Python, Javascript / HTML5, and Swift. He is interested in the visualization of abstract domains like causal argumentation, inference statistics, and musical structures as well as the design of intuitive user interfaces.
