Learning with Immersive Virtual Reality (immersive VR): Why Is It Relevant, and What Do We Know So Far?

Prof. Dr. Guido Makransky is the leader of the Virtual Learning Lab and Head of the Social, Cultural, Organisational, Personality and Educational Psychology (SCOPE) section at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Psychology.

In his lecture, Guido Makransky will offer an overview of the current state of research on learning with immersive virtual reality (immersive VR), beginning with the growing relevance of this technology in education and training. He will then summarize key empirical findings and introduce several theory-driven frameworks that illuminate the cognitive and emotional processes involved in IVR-based learning. Finally, the talk will highlight practical application areas where these insights can enhance the effectiveness of educational practice and related fields.
