Deputy Head of the Knowledge Construction Lab
Since September 2013 Joachim Kimmerle has been Deputy Head of the Knowledge Construction lab at the IWM. He leads research projects on processes of interindividual knowledge construction as well as knowledge construction with digital agents. In his research he investigates cognitive, motivational, emotional, and social aspects of media-based collective knowledge construction, science communication and computer-supported collaborative learning. He also looks at ways of transferring knowledge into practice. He teaches the psychology of knowledge, communication, and media at the University of Tübingen.
