Leona Colling ist seit Januar 2025 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Doktorandin am IWM in der Arbeitsgruppe Sprache und KI in der Bildung von Prof. Dr. Detmar Meurers. Sie arbeitet dort im Projekt „AI2Teach“ am intelligenten Tutorsystem „FeedBook“. Im „AI2Teach“-Projekt untersucht sie den Einsatz von Learning Analytics und computerlinguistischer Methoden zur Entwicklung von nutzerzentrierten und theoriegeleiteten Dashboards für Lernende und Lehrende und deren Auswirkungen auf das Lern- und Lehrverhalten, sowie die Lernleistung.
Leona Colling studierte Kognitionswissenschaft an der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (B.Sc.) und Artificial Intelligence an der University of Edinburgh (M.Sc.). Danach arbeitete sie bei IBM im Bereich AI & Data Science, bevor sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Computerlinguistik an die Universität Tübingen wurde. Dort startete sie ihr Promotionsstudium, welches sie nun am IWM weiterführt.
